For the four of you who get this as an email, hello and I love you! (And for those of you who come along later and find it, hello and you’re very lovable, too!) I am trying to set up a shiny new thing, and before there’s anyone else here, I thought I’d test out how it works and whether I can add a lovely dragon to the front page. Such as for instance this one!:
Aww, look at that sweet face! What on earth is this, you might be asking; that doesn’t look like the cover book one has had for twelve years now! You are correct — well-spotted, you lovely and observant person. :) This is, in fact, the shiny new cover for a fancy new paperback edition of Book One coming out October 1, which will also have beautiful art on the back and extra stuff inside. (Extra stuff! Like WHAT, Tui? Liiike…a Q&A with me! And ALSO: an early version of a scene I wrote that didn’t make it into the book, showing the dragons hatching from tiny baby Clay’s point of view!)
So if you like extra stuff and fancy covers, now you know: shiny new edition ahoy! :)
And if you like NEWSLETTERS, which are apparently much like my blog except they saunter right up to your email inbox and lounge around there waiting for your attention, then you can subscribe to my shiny new newsletter as well!
(If you got this as an email (Mom), you don’t need to subscribe again! I have already subscribed you! You’re welcome! :) But I thiiiiink you can forward it to other people who might want to subscribe, but only do that if they really want to (for instance Dad, let’s test it on Dad! I bet he would love some dragons in his inbox!).)
Don’t worry, potential subscribers, I’m pretty sure I won’t bother you with a newsletter very often. I have books to write! (Such as maybe for instance Book 16!) But this way, if you are subscribed, you can hear about giveaways (once I figure out giveaways) (surely I can figure out giveaways!) and some of my favorite books and any events and all my new books before anybody else, oooo, doesn’t that sound exclusive and fun? :)
OK, let’s see if posting this works! Big hugs to my four current subscribers, two of whom have no idea they’re subscribed but they’re my mom and my husband so they can’t unsubscribe, mwa ha ha!
Love and dragons! More soon!
